Would you like popcorn with that?
Is parking or transportation provided for the wedding?
There are so many great things about Los Angeles… parking is not one of them. You might get lucky with street parking, but don’t count on it. Our recommendation is to carpool, or better yet, rideshare. Uber and Lyft will be your best friends. Parking does exist within a few blocks, but it can be very impacted, so trust us, hop in a rideshare and save yourself the stress.
What’s the dress code (and what do you mean by “puppet prom” or “midcentury medieval”)?
For our welcome drinks + dessert, we’ll be in a puppet theater (Bob Baker Marionette Theater). “Smart casual” totally works, but if you’re in the mood to look like you’ve stepped out of a David Lynch movie, lean in.
For the wedding itself, think cocktail attire– lowkey but elevated. It’ll be mostly outdoors, so dress for comfort. However, the venue is a nearly 100-year-old esoteric library, so if you’re feeling wild, channel “midcentury medieval” (yes, capes encouraged). For inspiration, check out our moodboard.
Where should I stay? Do you have a room block somewhere?
Yes! We have a room block at the Hyatt Place Glendale. If Airbnb is more your style, we recommend Los Feliz, Glendale, or Hollywood. Not sure? Shoot us a message, we’re happy to send specific recs.
Will there be vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free options?
Yes! Villa’s Tacos is catering, and they’ve got made-to-order vegetarian and vegan options. Everyone will be very, very happy.
Can I bring a plus one?
Only if it’s indicated on your RSVP form. If it’s not, please don’t assume, it means we weren’t able to accommodate this time.
What’s the weather like this time of year?
Expect highs around 70° during the day and lows in the mid-50s at night. LA weather is usually on your side, but check the forecast as the date gets closer!
Will the ceremony/reception be indoors or outdoors?
Both! We’ll be making use of indoor and outdoor spaces so you can soak up the atmosphere comfortably.
